PITTSBURGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
ST. TERESA OF AVILA + THE MAYERNIK CENTER PITTSBURGH WEDDING
Pam and Kyle held their Pittsburgh area wedding ceremony at St. Teresa of Avila and held their reception at The Mayernik Center on Camp Horne Road. Ceremonies are definitely one of my favorite parts of a wedding day to document and witness and a ceremony filled with faith and tradition is always beautiful. After the ceremony, we all headed over to the Mayernik Center to start the festivities of the evening.
RAINY DAY WEDDING PHOTOS
Pam and Kyle had a gorgeous day for a wedding. Blue skies and sunshine started off the day but in true Pittsburgh fashion, the weather quickly changed. We raced against the clock to get their portraits with some dry weather and had a few minutes of rain free photos. After the rain started, we utilized the lovely front porch of the Mayernik Center for bridal party photos as well as their portraits together. As a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, having a plan B in place in the event of rain is always something that I need to have planned out so having a venue like the Mayernik Center makes the plan B very easy. After a quick downpour, we were able to make our way back out to take some rainy day wedding portraits with clear umbrellas. I know it is never fun to have rain on your wedding day, but I must admit that the bridal party umbrella photos we captured are some of my favorites of the year thus far.
THE MAYERNIK CENTER WEDDING RECEPTION
Pam and Kyle’s wedding reception was a blast. Their guests filled the dance floor and it was a party all evening. My favorite part of the reception is the details. I always look forward to getting to a reception space at weddings to photograph all of the beautiful details and always at the center of attention at the reception is the cake! Pam and Kyle’s cake topper was quite possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Baby giraffes dressed as a bride and a groom. I mean, seriously, how does that get any cuter?
Pam and Kyle, thank you so much for working with me over this last year! I had a wonderful time with you both. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Hawaii!
