About their day …
Angie & Rick were married at the beautiful Heinz Chapel in Oakland and held their reception at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association. In typical Pittsburgh weather fashion, it was cold, damp, and rainy for their May wedding, but Angie & Rick took the day in stride and enjoyed every last minute of their day together. The rain stopped shortly after their ceremony so we were able to sneak outside for some great portraits. Oakland is one of my favorite locations to photograph wedding portraits because of it’s gorgeous character. Melissa Crawford, of Devoted to You Events, coordinated the day. Stephanie Kirby, of The Blue Daisy Floral Designs, created stunning bouquets and centerpieces for the tables at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association. The amazing character of the venues, details, and all paired with Angie’s soft pink dress, this day was pretty fantastic.
What I loved most …
Wedding days can often be hectic and when something goes wrong, it can cause some major unwanted chaos! Prior to Angie and Rick’s first look held in the library at the Pittsburgh Athletic Assocation, the final touches were going on and we couldn’t locate Angie’s veil. She was beautifully dressed from head to toe but her veil was missing! Major cause for chaos, right?! Not Angie. She remained cool, calm, and collected and went on with her day. Her groom was there and nothing else mattered. Talk about a stress-free bride!
