Wedding: Sarah + Nate

bubble exit from church of bride and groom in Pittsburgh

All smiles, from pre-ceremony jitters to their awesome bubble exit, through the end of their reception, Sarah and Nate literally smiled the entire day.

Sarah and Nate held their wedding ceremony at their church, Nottingham Christian Center in Eighty Four, PA and their reception at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Washington, PA.  Sarah and Nate were so easy to work with.  Their entire planning process with me was smooth sailing, thanks to their laid back and easy going personalities.  When I met with them last year prior to booking their wedding, we discussed details of the day including their reception location, THE MEADOWS RACETRACK AND CASINO, and the fact that Nate’s band, MON VALLEY PUSH, was going to preform at the reception.  I thought to myself, now THIS was going to be a fun wedding.

Sarah and her bridesmaids prepared for the day at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadowlands.  They had a two story suite to get ready in and it was amazing!  Not only did we have so much space to work in, the light was gorgeous.  Sarah’s Betsy Johnson sparkly heels looked incredible against the red walls in the master suite.  The girls all  had matching satin robes and we did some fun group photos prior to everyone getting ready.  I always love these types of photos!  Lastly, we had some time before we all left for the ceremony so we took some portraits of Sarah and she was stunning.

I often will spend a good bit of time planning out the photography locations for the day with each one of my couples.  Each location and each venue is different and unique so finding a goof fit for both the couple and the overall look of the day is super fun!  We had a limited amount of time following their ceremony and family formal before heading over to the casino for their reception so after some research, we all settled on Peters Lake Park for their portraits.  I was there for one of my 2015 weddings so I was familiar with the area and different locations within the park to use.  The green back drop was perfect.

Walking into the casino area at the Meadows was so much fun!  It’s a great atmosphere for a wedding reception.  Sarah and Nate opted for a black and white wedding and the decor was so elegant and beautiful.  It gave such a classic and beautiful look to their reception photos.  Aside from the beautiful decor, the party was a blast!  They had Jason Kendall Productions performing during cocktail hour and not to mention Nate’s band, Mon Valley Push, performing during the bridal dance.

Thank you so much for having me, Sarah and Nate!  I had the best time working with you both!  Keep smiling!
