Stephanie and Rudy were married at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin and held their reception at one of my favorite Pittsburgh wedding venues, The Sheraton at Station Square.  I had two 2015 weddings there and loved them, so naturally I was so excited to go back.  I often look forward to traditional church weddings.  We have some really beautiful churches here in the Pittsburgh area for weddings and a church ceremony always gives a traditional feel to the ceremony.  Stephanie and Rudy, along with their families, are very dedicated to their faith and so it was very beautiful ceremony to document.

BRIDAL PARTY PICTURES ON MT. WASHINGTON

Stephanie and I mapped out where their bridal party portraits would take place after their family formals at the church.  The church was in a perfect location from Station Square and so it allowed us to plan out a variety of looks for their bridal portraits.  I always love having the ability to give a variety of looks in wedding photos as long as time allows for it.  Our first stop was Mt. Washington.  It was a special location to them because that is where Rudy proposed to Stephanie!  We had a beautiful sunny day and so overlooking the city was fantastic!  My favorite image of Stephanie and Rudy is from our Mt. Washington location.

WEDDING PHOTOS IN STATION SQUARE

Our second and final stop for portraits was Station Square.  One of the reasons why I love weddings at the Sheraton at Station Square is the location variety for portraits.  We had the ability to walk over to the Smithfield Street Bridge to start our photos.  Stephanie’s oh-so-amazing Anne Barge gown and cathedral veil looked amazing with the wind and the colors of the bridge.  We walked along the river and before heading back to the Sheraton, we stopped outside of the Hard Rock Cafe.

Walking into Stephanie and Rudy’s reception area was a photographer’s dream.  The flowers, cake, and decor were amazing.  Jason Kendall Productions was warming up for the reception and they always know how to get a good party started and keep it going throughout the night.  Each and every detail was beautiful.
