My Favorite Part of the Wedding Day | Pittsburgh Wedding Photography

I recently met with a couple who is planning their 2018 wedding.  By the way – a little side note – I LOVE meeting with you to talk more about your visions for your wedding day … it is a great way to determine if we are a GOOD FIT before working together!  Anyways, during our meeting, I was asked what my favorite part of the wedding day is.  This was a two part answer for me because quite honestly, my favorite part of the wedding day is what comes next.

You are going to hear this a thousand times leading up to your wedding day and most likely a hundred more the day of:  your wedding day goes by in a blink of an eye!  Honestly it does.  I’m often thinking towards the end of the day – where has the day gone?!  I have a ton of fun doing what I do so the day typically will fly by.  And so it will for you.  You might start to panic thinking ahead of time that you will miss things, not remember things, not remember talking to guests, or simply just ENJOYING the moment.  Well don’t you worry your pretty little self – I’m there with cameras in hand documenting those moments, those details, those guests.  I’m there to capture his face when he sees you, your last look with Dad, the big smile to Mom before you turn to your groom.  You get the point …

When the day is over, you get to live it all over again through your finished gallery.  THIS is my favorite part.  When you get to feel those emotions all over again looking through your day – THAT is the best part about what I do.  Seeing the finished product and sending it off for you to enjoy for the rest of your lives together – well, there’s really nothing better than that.

So for the second part of my answer, it’s quite basic and not surprising.  My absolute favorite part of the day is the portrait time with my brides and grooms.  That is likely the only time you will have together during the day – alone – and while I’m there in a distance, it’s a great time to soak up the love and emotion of the day together.  I get to document that – and I love it.
