PITTSBURGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I met with Lisa and her Mom about a year before the wedding. Ty is a hockey player and was not in the area during the planning and so Lisa and her Mom put it all together. While I do love meeting the grooms during our coffee chats, I absolutely LOVE meeting with the Moms! I’m super close with my Mom and so it is always so fantastic to meet a new bride who has the same relationship with her own Mom. We talked everything from wedding details to businesses. Lisa and her Mom started their own health and fitness business here in Pittsburgh, Strong Stride. Be sure to check it out!
Lisa and Ty’s love story started back in school … they have known each other since elementary school! Long time love stories are always a favorite of mine! Lisa’s parents are also high school sweethearts so they most definitely have some fantastic role models. They opted for simple elegance for their wedding and I have to say, I loved every detail of it. Lisa’s jewelry was all borrowed from her Mom and other family members and they had a small bridal party of close friends and family. Their day in a nutshell was intimate, classy, elegant, and full of love.
Aside from their love story together, what I loved so much about their wedding day was learning about how close they all are as a family. I spent the first part of the day with Lisa and her family (and their beloved pup!). They are super close and I just adore that. From family vacations to running marathons, they do it all together. How amazing is that?!
Their ceremony was held at Heinz Memorial Chapel and their reception followed at Phipps Conservatory. Okay, need I say more?! These locations are some of the best in Pittsburgh for a wedding! Pair them with an incredible looking bridal party, a fantastic family, great weather, and a killer sunset …. well it was wedding perfection.

Lisa and Ty, thank you so much for allowing me to document this day for you. I had the best time and you are just an incredible couple. I wish you lots of love and happiness in your new adventures together.
Working with other wedding professionals like Blossoms by Jillian – my absolute number one favorite Pittsburgh florist – was a real treat for the day. Lisa’s amazing lace dress was compliments of Glitter and Grit, which if you are still in search of a dress, check them out here in Pittsburgh.
