PITTSBURGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
MONTOUR HEIGHTS COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING
You know that saying, ‘that smile can light up a room?’ You know it, you’ve heard it probably a thousand times. Well, Micki’s smile … saying it could light up a room is a true understatement. She could light up an amphitheater, especially when Paul is around to make her smile. I loved meeting up with Micki and Paul when they started planning their wedding. They were so easy to talk to and get along with. I loved their loyalty to one another. They have been together since high school! Long time loves always are a favorite of mine, my husband and I were high school sweethearts!
We met shortly after for their engagement session. There are times where I might have to tell my couples to look at me and smile … but with them, didn’t have to say a thing. It was straight smiles and giggles all morning. And their wedding was much the same.
TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC WEDDING CEREMONY AT ST. MARGARET MARY
Wedding ceremonies are a very sacred part of the day – I mean, that’s IT. Receptions are fun, of course, but the ceremony is what makes the day THE day. I love traditional wedding ceremonies. Nothing is rushed and there is so much more heart in them. My favorite images from their ceremony was of the procession. They were just SO happy to see each other at that moment.
BRIDAL PARTY PORTRAITS AFTER THE CEREMONY
Planning for a wedding at the end of August is pretty risky with the heat! The last couple of years have been scorchers but their wedding day had zero humidity and was super comfortable. Micki and Paul built in a good bit of time between their ceremony so we had TONS of fun with portraits. I jumped on their party bus and we took a drive over to Moon High School – where they met – and started some portraits on the foot ball field! I knew ahead of time that we would likely be making that trip over there and so I had some fun shots lined up in my head for both a couples portrait and the bridal party. I mean, making a bridal party run down a football field isn’t something you get to do every day. Luckily, this group had so much fun with it and I just loved how the images turned out!
MONTOUR HEIGHTS COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING RECEPTION AND PORTRAITS
Their ceremony was held at the lovely Montour Heights Country Club, in Moon Township. The staff was incredibly accommodating there! They had enough golf carts for all of us to take and we had full access to the entire course for portraits! Micki and I had met earlier in the week and drove around the course and picked out some great locations which saved us tons of time. Who doesn’t want more time for portraits and more time for some fun!
Their reception was beautifully decorated. Karrie Hlista Designs did a fantastic job on all of the florals. Paul’s Mom got everyone out on the dance floor to hold a traditional Italian wedding dance and after that, the dance floor stayed jam packed! My favorite kind of party is one where everyone is dancing!!
Micki and Paul, thank you so much for including me in your wedding day. I loved spending time with you and your families. Much love to you!!!
